Why do we tithe?

The tithe is the action that outwardly acknowledges our trust in God concerning our finances. The tithe is the first ten percent of all our increase as instructed in the scriptures. We tithe out of obedience to God's Word and as evidence of His Lordship in our lives. Tithing and giving is an act of worship that should be done with thanksgiving.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."
